There after registration will still be possible at the collection of the race documents (cash payment only). On race day, registration will be possible until one hour before race starts.

Late registration

Late registration will be possible at our BERLIN LÄUFT-Expo on 21st April 2012 by cash payment only.

Race documents

The collection of race documents will take place at our BERLIN LÄUFT - Expo of sports-goods on 21st April 2012 from 10am to 6pm at:

For non Berlin residents we offer to pick up the race documents on events day until one hour before starts the race.

Race numbers will be issued only upon presentation of your confirmation of registration documents or personal identification documents. Each participant will also be given a clothes' bag for safekeeping the personal clothes at the start-/finishing area. Finisher-Shirts, ordered in advance, can be collected at the exposition area. Besides, and while stocks last there will be the possibility to buy a Finisher-Shirt for EUR 20,00. Whilst collecting the race documents, there also will be the chance to register kids for the children's race and for the individual engraving of your finisher's medal (EUR 8,00 for adults/ EUR 4,00 for kids).

How to reach the race documents collection at Audi Zentrum Adlershof

S-Bahn: from direction Berlin Centre: S7 direction Ahrensfelde until S Ostkreuz, change to S9 direction Flughafen Schönefeld until Schöneweise/Sterndamm, change to Bus 160 direction Altglienicke until James-Franck-Str., 5 min to walk to Audi Zentrum Adlershof.

From direction Ostkreuz: S8 direction Grünau until S Adlershof, change to Bus 164 direction Flughafen Schönefeld until Rudower Chaussee/Wegedornstraße, 500m to walk to Audi Zentrum Adlershof.

Timekeeping

Timekeeping for all distances (except for Child’s run) is obligatory by using the Champion-Chip only. You can either use your own chip, rent (EUR 6,-) or buy (EUR 31,-) it with your registration. The chip must be worn on your shoes, otherwise the timekeeping cannot be guaranteed. Distribution of rented chips takes place along with the race documentation – these chips are to be returned behind the finishing-line by 2pm on the day of the race. Those choosing to keep their chips will be deem to have bought them and charged EUR 25,- by direct debit.
Runners using their own chips are asked to check if the correct chip number has been registered at the distribution of the race documents.

How to reach the Airport Berlin Brandenburg BER

The start will be at the Airport Berlin Brandenburg BER. Please arrive in time at the start and use public transportation as there are only limited parking spaces available.

S-Bahn:from direction Berlin Centre: S9 direction Flughafen Schönefeld until station Schönefeld, shuttle service to the start will be available from 7am on every 10 minutes, from 8am on every 5 minutes.

Start

The start will be in front of the new Maintenance Area on the area of the Airport.
The Half Marathon and 10k races will be started together at 10am!
The starting area is divided by fences into starting blocks B1 to B3. Entry is allowed one hour before starts the race at the earliest. Zones are allotted according to the runners’ personal bests and entry to the zones will be controlled by race officials. The starting block is shown on the race-number. The race-number is not transferable; is to be worn clearly visible on the chest and is not to be tampered with in any way.
There will be toilets, showers and places to hand-in your clothes bags around the starting area. The clothes bag should be marked with the label that is attached to your race number.
No responsibility for lost clothes or bags will be accepted by the organisers.

Visitors: Visitors reaching the start and finish area by Shuttle from the S station Flughafen Schönefeld to. It isn’t allowed to move outside the start and finish area.

Route

The track is a 10k course, which is to be run twice by half marathon runners. It’s going along the construction side of the new Airport Berlin-Brandenburg BER, on the new landing strip and by the new terminal. Each kilometre of the route is clearly signposted. Refreshment stations are arranged at kilometre 4, 8,5, 10 (behind the finish line on the second round), 14 and 18,5, Water will be on offer.

Toilets are positioned at the refreshment stations. If you need medical assistance, please, if possible, try to reach the next refreshment point, where qualified assistance will be available.

Please note that the entrainment of buggies is not permissible.

Finish

After the finishing-line each participant receives its finisher’s medal. If you wish and for a small fee, the medal can be engraved. The engraved medal will be send to you after the event. Rented chips must be returned up until 2pm at the appropriately signposted stands.
Chip returns are only possible on race-day. To avoid congestion, runners are requested not to return to the finishing area but to leave this as quickly as possible into to the participants' area where you can enjoy refreshments.
Please remember to collect your clothes’ bag from the collection point – this is possible until 2pm.
Changing-rooms, showers and toilets are all available at the participants' area and are signposted. Please take care of all your personal belongings and valuables (including your time-chip).

Results

Results and certificates are available approximately 2 hours after the event at our website www.berliner-airportrun.de.
